At Love in the Park, Inc, we provide Baltimore City youth ages 16–24 with the tools they need to enter the workforce and navigate life with confidence. Our programs are designed to meet participants where they are—helping them overcome obstacles, gain practical skills, and prepare for lasting success.
Workforce Readiness Training

We focus on the foundational skills every young adult needs to succeed on the job, including:

  • Conflict Resolution – learning how to manage disagreements and communicate effectively.

  • Workplace Etiquette – professionalism, punctuality, teamwork, and customer service.

  • Hospitality Skills – preparing for jobs in one of the region’s largest industries.

  • Culinary Training – hands-on instruction in kitchen safety, food preparation, and service.

Life Skills & Personal Development

We know that employment success goes hand-in-hand with stability in everyday life. That’s why we provide one-on-one guidance with:

  • GED preparation and test readiness

  • Driver’s license support

  • Navigating child support and custody issues

  • Access to additional community resources for housing, healthcare, and more


Mentorship & Coaching

Every participant receives individualized attention from mentors and staff who understand their challenges. We provide:

Who can participate in the program?

Our programs are open to Baltimore City residents between the ages of 16–24 who are unemployed, underemployed, or facing challenges that make it difficult to enter or stay in the workforce.

How much does it cost to join?

Our programs are provided at no cost to participants. As a nonprofit organization, we are funded by grants, donations, and community partnerships to ensure that every young person has access to these opportunities.

How long is the program?

The length of participation depends on individual needs and goals. Some youth may complete short-term training in a few weeks, while others may remain involved for several months to receive ongoing coaching and support.

Do you help participants find jobs after training?
