At Love in the Park, Inc, we believe every young person deserves a fair chance to build a future filled with purpose and possibility. As a nonprofit workforce development program based in Baltimore City, we serve young adults ages 16–24 who face barriers to employment and stability.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to equip youth with the skills, resources, and confidence they need to succeed in the workplace and in life. We combine hands-on training with holistic support, ensuring that participants don’t just find jobs—they build careers and stronger foundations for their lives.

Founder & Executive Director Steven T. Johnson
Steven T. Johnson is a nonprofit executive,
social entrepreneur, and community builder rooted in Park Heights, Baltimore.
He is the Founder and Executive Director of Love in the Park Inc., a
community-based nonprofit dedicated to creating pathways to employment,
healing, and economic stability for young people and adults facing systemic
barriers.
With over a decade of experience in youth
development, education, workforce programming, and community engagement, Steven
has built programs that meet people where they are and move them toward
sustainable careers. His work focuses on culinary, hospitality, wine, beverage,
and skilled-trades pipelines—pairing hands-on training with life skills, mentorship,
and real employment opportunities.
Steven is also the visionary behind A Slice in the
Park, a Southern Italian–inspired restaurant and workforce development hub
designed to serve as both a neighborhood anchor and a living classroom. The
concept blends food, culture, and economic mobility, while training local
residents for careers in the culinary and hospitality industries.
